There are a lot of parts needed for converting a car to electric power. The big (expensive) items are available from several vendors. The common parts and typical prices are listed below:

• Main drive motor (DC) - $1500 - $3500
• Motor controller (DC motor) $1000 - $3500
• Main contactor (DC system) $100 - $500
• Battery cables (0/2ga pronounced two-aut) $5 per foot
• Battery terminals $4 each
• DC to DC converter $100 - $1000
• Battery charger

Additional parts that are common but are often custom made include:

• Motor to chassis mounting
